Now another bridge closing

Well, I guess in this case two is better than one. I just read in the Star this morning I635 over the Missouri River will be closed to reconstruct the roadway. It will be closed for two months, probably starting just after the 4th of July. With the Paseo bridge already closed on I29/35 for basically the rest of the year, this just might make traffic even tighter going across the Muddy Mo. They will not be working on the bridges themselves, just reconstructing the roadway.

The deluge

Wow, what a rainstorm last night. I think it rained the entire night, and I heard some hellacious thunder around 7am this morning. Rivers seemed to be up, the Little Blue was much higher than normal, and a good chunk of Swope park had water over the road. Even Gregory street had water perhaps 3 inches deep across it near the little lake.

Manchester bridge is finally open

After what seems like an eternity, the Manchester Bridge on Choteau Tfwy. is finally complete and the road is open. I had never been over the bridge prior to the construction since its been torn up for so long. I never realized how long the bridge was until I went across it.

But hey, its done and its smooth.
